JOEL HERNANDEZ
Joel Hernandez (Turnipseed) is author of “Baghdad Express: A Gulf War Memoir” (Borealis/Penguin) and a recovering book critic. His work has appeared in GQ, Granta, The New York Times, Virginia Quarterly Review, and other journals, as well as on highway signs, train stations, and a see-saw. He will be holding launch events and doing readings for “war | machine” in Fall 2025 and throughout 2026.
